Tips and Comments
This is a listing of useful facts divulged by cruisers from the User-Forum who have already sailed on the Thomson Dream
The food was great, especially the Orion Restaurant on floor 4. The food was amazing and there were dishes to please everyone's specific tastes. It would definitely be the place i would recommend to go for your evening meal. The buffets werevery tasty but it would be hard to get a whole meal out of them, but overall they were very tasty.
Breakfast on deck 11 was perfect, there was so much to choose from. There was something for everyone. At lunchtime burgers, hot dogs, chips things like that were served next to both pools which were all really nice. You never would go hungry.
The only problem we ever had was that the air conditioning wasn't very great but all you had to do was phone customer services and ask for a fan and it was delivered to your room within an hour.
Didn't find any problems with getting a sun bed the staff will move them for you if you ask, people do reserve them with towels though
The Internet is £4 for 15 mins
Radio telephone calls while at sea (when there is no mobile phone signal) is £35 for 4 minutes
The Sirens Restaurant was £20 per person cover charge
In the Andromeda buffet self service restaurant you had to queue for your food most days
In the Orion restaurant, it takes one hour plus to get through all the courses because service can be slow but the food was excellent
Every single one of the crew are amazing, words can not cover how nice, helpful and fun they all are! Even if you went on every cruise boat on the world and every hotel there is no way that you would ever find service like that!

Don't miss the late night crew show
Most evenings we ate in the Orion restaurant and I can honestly say the food was magnificant, piping hot and served by the excellent waiter staff, for breakfast and lunch we ate at Sirens buffet on deck 11 with lots of choice, tea was served by waiters or you could get your own.
The food was gorgeous in the Orion Restaurant and there was always lots of choice in the 2 buffet restaurants
on deck 9 and 11.
Take the right international plug adapter (round 2 pin European type), or preferably one of each type and bring an extension lead with 4 plugs on to charge up all your stuff.
There's usually no clock in cabins or hotel rooms so I take a small travel clock ao I can see the time without getting up to pick up my mobile.
Plug sockets in the cabin are European 2 round pin type like they were in Majorca. Some passengers also recommend taking a small lightweight 4 way plugboard as the wall sockets (usually only 1 per cabin) may not be in a possition to be able to easily plug electrical appliances into and als a 4 way means you can charge your phone, camera and ipod at the same time
Theatre shows start at 20:15 & 22:30
Guiness is not on the All Inclusive drinks listing (I know we do not have the drinks package) so a cost of £1.50 supplement was made per pint - I don't know how much we would be charged.
You can get currency on board, but I believe it's a currency exchange i.e. it's a cash exchange not something you can put on your ship's card. Usually it's best to get your currency prior to departure (Post Office and M&S are commission free and often have good rates of exchange) as you can shop around for the best deals - once on the ship you have to pay whatever their exchange rate happens to be. Or you can get money from ATMs on shore - but may have to pay a bank fee for this. All the islands when on the Destiny took US $ When on the Celebration in May, we found that they didn't have enormous stocks of different currency. Also, we were told to have small denominations, but the reception didn't have any. They were all small.
We decided in future that the best thing to do is research what currency you will need, and order it from home previous to sailing.
All the islands took american dollars so no problem but make sure you get your change in American Dollars because you may not be able to spend other types of dollars on other islands
